Rote Island is part of Kupang district and is the southernmost island of Indonesia. Located on the western shore of Kupang. This exotic island can be reached in only four hours. From Kupang to ferry between islands for diving and tour the beautiful rugged land and untouched. The spectacular walls, caves in the hills, valleys and lower slopes of water. Marine life is varied and abundant that it is difficult to believe from the fire until mantas fish. Rote unique architecture, as well as their beautiful ikat. Seeing their traditional lifestyle that has remained unchanged for centuries.

Rote is an excellent location for surfing, Each year surfers flock to Namberala for riding a near perfect tube formed by shallow reefs and offshore wind. Accommodation in Namberala has a traditional seaside resort bungalow and some homestay. The beach itself is one of the best examples of a palm-fringed white sandy beaches that can be found anywhere. Diving in the area is also remarkable because of a large number of Manta and Dugong seen there. A boat trip to nearby islands Fund or Ndao is also recommended.
